The Hancock-French Woods Arts Alliance is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit public charity that was formed by the French Woods Festival family to provide encouragement for the arts through education and financial support for children and young adults from low income and culturally diverse areas. Our 4k Race for the Arts typically takes place four times each summer on the beautiful Campus of French Woods Festival of the Arts. The funds raised from this event are specifically designated towards college scholarships to benefit passionate and needy students committed to a career in the arts. We offer these students a hand up rather than a handout. 100% of all donor contributions go directly to pay for college scholarships or visual and performing arts programming for students dedicated to pursuing a career in the Arts. No dollars are diverted to the administration as all such expenses are paid through a special grant by the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts Camp.
HFWAA has created a virtual Race for the Arts just for you. It's 2020 summertime and we have some motivation to get you started or to keep you going. We hope you will keep the true character and fashion of the Race for the Arts alive all the while participating from Earn your swag by completing our Race for the Arts: Virtual Edition Summer Challenges (while following local regulations and CDC guidelines.) In addition, we want to inspire the world to #SavetheArts and run responsibly.
All registrations include a choice of one Race for the Arts commemorative item: T-shirt, Racerback Tank, or a 'Save the Arts' Face Mask
