BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND with a two race series for 2024, the Escape to Hutchinson Island Triathlon! Come and experience the beauty of Hutchinson Island. Locals and tourists agree: Martin County’s quaint shorelines are the perfect place to disconnect. With miles and miles of peaceful beaches, beautiful water, and natural sand dunes, there’s no better time to turn off your cell phone and soak up the incredible ambiance of Old Florida.
The Escape to Hutchinson Island Triathlon begins with an open water swim (.25 or .5 miles) in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. From there, the bike route (10 or 20 miles) takes you north along A1A on a flat, fast bike course. Runners complete the race with a scenic run (3.1 or 6.2 mile) that will take you underneath the Ernest Lyons Bridge, with spectacular water views, for the run u-turn before heading back to the park. Two laps for International, one lap for Sprint.
Stuart Beach is located across from the Elliott Museum and the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center. The park offers a variety of amenities including covered picnic areas, beach volleyball courts, showers, restrooms, and more. Grab a snack or lunch after your race at the Chef Shack overlooking the beautiful blue Atlantic waters. This race benefits the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center.
